Advanced analytical methods in biochemistry, such as high-resolution Mass Spectrometry and Next-Generation Sequencing, provide unprecedented, single-molecule insights into biological systems. Their main recent applications drive breakthroughs in multi-omics, disease biomarker discovery, personalized medicine, microfluidic diagnostics, and advanced structural biology. Key advanced analytical methods and their recent applications include: Mass Spectrometry (MS): Advanced applications utilize liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LC-MS) and GC-MS, NMR Spectroscopy, Fluorescence Spectroscopy as well as the ICP-MS for elemental speciation
The goal of this event is to encourage young minds and their research skills by providing them with the necessary tools to work on current topics related to bioanalysis (Proteomics, metabolomics, Metallomics, toxicology) and Help students build a solid foundation in experimental design and critical thinking. It aims to explore various applications in different sectors: pharmaceuticals and drug development as well as biomedical and clinical research.
