The Lebanese University, Faculty of Public Health, Faculty of Sciences, Doctoral School for science and Technology, DSST, in collaboration with 5 Research and Academia Institutions organize the 4th International Symposium on Materials, Electrochemistry and Environment “CIMEE 22”, that will be held in Beirut, Lebanon on 22 – 24 September 2022.
In parallel to CIMEE 22 working sessions, some thematic side events (Special Sessions) will be foreseen with a focus on Mediterranean area such as Sustainable Management of Water Resources and Atmospheric Chemistry, Geochemistry & Earth Materials.
Every two years, our emblematic International Symposium, CIMEE is held in conjunction with a number of universities, laboratories and research centers form Europe, Middle East and North Africa, involving researchers and experts from around the world. The theme of CIMEE22 is “Advanced Green Chemistry and Sustainable Technology for Environmental Enhancement”.

CIMEE 2022 – Call for Abstract/Papers
Call for Abstracts are now open: The Conference Organising Committee is pleased to invite presenters to submit their abstracts for oral presentations; poster presentations and hands-on workshops, to be delivered at the conference.
Authors are invited to submit abstracts to the conference email . Deadline 15 October 2021

All submissions must be in English and describe original work that has not been published or submitted elsewhere. All abstracts will be reviewed by at least two members of the Scientific Peer Review Committee in a double-blind peer-review process.
Abstracts and papers for CIMEE22 may be submitted according the themes topic, broadly defined, can play a role in a wide range of sustainability topics.
All abstracts must be submitted in Word format (.doc or .docx files) to the conference email at: cimee16@ul.edu.lb

WORK-IN-PROGRESS.
We encourages researchers and students to submit Work-in-Progress (WiP) papers based on their recent viewpoints, new discoveries, and early-stage design and development in disciplines that are in line with CIMEE’s areas of interest. The WiP session is geared towards early career researchers, but also caters to seasoned scholars for the presentation of unfinished projects. The WiP track thus provides a unique opportunity for exchanging brave new ideas, for receiving feedback on projects currently in progress and for fostering collaborations
All full paper submissions will be peer reviewed and evaluated based on originality, technical and/or research content/depth, correctness, relevance to conference, contributions, and readability.
PUBLICATION
For papers submitted to CIMEE 2022, accepted papers will be recommended to be published in the abstract book/Partners journals
The selection of papers for presentation and publication is based on the quality and scientific rigor of the submissions evaluated in a peer-review process.
Plagiarism is strictly forbidden in any academic conference, the articles submitted should be original and unpublished. Any Violations will be dealt with seriously in accordance with the policy.

Best paper special issues
Dear Colleagues,
We are proud to announce a Special Issue, “Innovative chemistry for sustainable environmental remediation”, in partner journal devoted to the 3rd International Symposium on Materials, Electrochemistry and Applications (CIMEE20).
The organizing committee has teamed up with the Special Issue Journal on in the area of chemistry and environmental Analytical Chemistry This Special Issue will select excellent papers from the oral (plenary, keynotes, and regular talks) and posters participation, and covers a very wide range of fields in Materials, Electrochemistry and Environmental analytical chemistry, focusing in environmental applications.
All the papers will be peer reviewed. Selected presented and registered papers from CIMEE 20 with good quality will be recommended to publish in the special issues journals. All submissions must be no less than 6 pages in length.
We invite investigators to contribute original research articles, as well as review articles, to this Special Issue.

Manuscript Submission Information
Manuscripts should be submitted by registering and sending the full text template downloaded in the website (www.cimee-science.org). Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All papers will be peer-reviewed. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited.
Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere. All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. A guide for authors and other relevant information for submission of manuscripts is available on the webpage.
The guideline for the submission of manuscripts
FINAL PAPER SUBMISSION:
If your abstract has been accepted, you should submit your Final Paper. The final paper length should be between 5 to 6 pages (including references). The template of the Final Paper is available in the templates section.
A paper should contain the description of your study and should be structured in different sections such as: Abstract, Introduction, Methodology, Results, Conclusions, Acknowledgements (if applicable) and References.
Please note that title and authors list should be coincident with the accepted abstract.
The references should be cited according to the Bibliography and Citation Style.
Contributions will only be published in the CIMEE20 book if at least one of the authors of the paper is registered before August 31th, 2020 (in person or virtually).
If you wish to be a session chair, please email your request to cimee18@ul.edu.lb and indicate the topic area in which you are interested. Registration for the conference is required to be a session chair.
Call for Special Sessions
The technical program of CIMEE20 will include a number of special sessions to complement the technical program.
Special sessions are very small and specialized events to be held during the conference as a set of oral and poster presentations that are highly specialized in some particular theme or consisting of the works of some particular international project. The goal of special sessions is to provide a focused discussion on innovative topics. All accepted papers will be published in a special section of the Symposium book. Special sessions concentrate on critical and emerging topics in Materials, Electrochemistry and environmental analytical chemistry.
Interested authors are invited to submit special session proposals, which should contain a title, motivation and scope as well as a biosketch of the organizers, by email (cimee16@ul.edu.lb).

Dear CIMEE20 participants,
We would like to express, above all, our sincere gratitude and most sincere thanks to all the authors for the excellent work you have provided in this International Symposium. We appreciated the diligence and professional conscience with which you accompanied us in this process.
Publishing in an internationally renowned journal offers a better means of providing evidence of the scientific visibility of research. On the other hand, the publication of the research paper is important for the dissemination of knowledge and science and the best way to show the hard work to the international community is its publication. The Steps of Writing and Publishing Research work is proof of authentication, reliability of results and people will know how well the scientific community has excelled in a particular subject and Topic.
