Training workshop
The Islamic World Organization for Education, Science and Culture (ICESCO) and the Lebanese National Commission for UNESCO in cooperation with the Ministry of the Environment organized a training workshop on the recovery and recycling of solid waste under the high patronage of Dr Nasser Yassine, Minister of the Environment. Training workshop aims to:
– Introducing integrated waste management approaches and the importance of applying the principles of the circular economy to contribute to enhancing environmental protection and preserving natural resources.
– Explaining the most important techniques and methods of solid waste collection, treatment and recycling, and how to apply international trends to regulate the waste sector effectively and sustainably.
– Building capacities of university youth interested in environmental affairs and raising the level of performance of technical cadres working in waste management companies.
– Exchange experiences and expertise in the field of waste valorization at the national and international levels.
